Ella's Story

Melbourne-based Ella was recently treated for Sagittal Craniosynostosis.

Born prematurely at 26 weeks, she spent 4 months in hospital. At 3 months, Ella’s paediatrician referred her to the hospital’s Craniofacial team.

Following a confirmed diagnosis of Sagittal Craniosynostosis, Ella had 3 monthly check ups for a year and after 3 cancellations, was finally operated on April 5th.

7 hours and one blood transfusion later, Ella’s surgery was a success. Mum Tayla recalls that “while recovery was tough, our little girl is happier than ever”.

THANK YOU TO ELLA AND HER FAMILY FOR BEING A VOICE OF HOPE AND STRENGTH FOR THE CRANIOFACIAL COMMUNITY
