Australian Cranio-Maxillo Facial Foundation is registered as a public benevolent institution with the Australian Tax Office, having Deductible Gift Recipient and Income Tax Exempt Charity status. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and can be made by phone, mail or in person - the Foundation accepts cash, cheques and all major credit cards. ABN 29 008 155 780
The Foundation was established in 1984 to raise funds to support the provision and development of craniofacial services. In particular, the Foundation supports the work of the Australian Craniofacial Unit.
Beneficiaries:
The Australian Craniofacial Unit
Established in 1975 and located at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide, the Australian Craniofacial Unit treats patients who require reconstructive surgery for birth defects, disease or injury to the skull or face.
To meet the multi-faceted needs of its patients it utilizes the services of experts from many disciplines to create a "multi-disciplinary" team appropriate for each individual. The Unit has achieved national recognition as a Centre of Excellence in its field and is one of few in the world that provides an holistic approach to patient care.
The Foundation supports the work of the Unit by:
- Providing assistance to financially disadvantaged patients worldwide to access the expertise of the members of the Unit, and
- Providing administrative and medical resource
Fundraising
To ensure maximum distribution to our beneficiaries each year the Foundation carefully plans and implements an extensive fundraising program. Fundraising programs include:

Mission
To encourage and support:
- The development and provision of patient diagnostic and treatment services that are appropriate and accessible worldwide to people suffering from craniofacial deformities and injuries and;
- Associated research and teaching activities and;
- Associated health systems development.
Objectives
- To raise funds for the purpose of furthering:
- The development and provision of patient diagnostic and treatment services that are appropriate and accessible worldwide to people suffering from craniofacial deformities and injuries and;
- Associated research and teaching activities and;
- Associated health systems development.
- To fund research into the causes and prevention of facial deformities and injuries of persons within Australia and in overseas countries approved by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Commonwealth of Australia.
- To support the development of techniques and treatment of facial deformities and injuries of persons within Australia and overseas countries approved by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Commonwealth of Australia.
- To grant financial assistance to the guardians and families of persons with facial deformities and injuries, the Institute of Craniofacial Studies Inc and other organisations that have similar purposes to facilitate the above objectives.
- To act as trustee of and to administer any fund established for any of the above objects and to do any lawful things which are incidental or conducive to the attainment of any or all of the above objects.
